Hitchki Budapest - Indian Restaurant in Budapest

We came to try the restaurant week menu and left quite full. The 7-item tasting menu is an incredible idea, being able to try multiple dishes at the same time. It would've been great to select some items - e.g. I was really interested in some vegetarian options and could've lived without some items of my chicken menu. Also, my menu had no dessert option. The restaurant was quite pretty and and dishes tasted nice, gave us an introduction to new dishes we haven't even heard of before. The portions were very generous, we couldn't even finish them. Our biggest and main issue was the service itself. The servers were not kind at all, never smiled, never come to our table to ask if we needed more drinks or anything, looked very annoyed/bored the whole time. They walked by us many times without looking at us while I was trying to order more drinks. What was worse is that they just put the plates down in front of us and didn't tell us anything about the dishes so we had too google them one by one so we know what we are trying exactly. Some dishes were meant to be eaten together that we were not aware of. Once again, the lights here were also super bright which did not help with the ambience, especially since there were only 2-3 other tables around us.

Imádom az indiai konyhát, északi, déli ételek számomra egyaránt csodásak. Egy barátomat évek óta próbálom bevezetni ebbe a fantasztikus világba, de eddig ellenállt. Most a barátságunk 40.évfordulóját itt ünnepeltük. Félve jött el, megbeszéltük, ha nem ízlik a vacsora és éhen marad, után irány egy pizzéria. 😄 2 db 8féle ízt kínáló menüt rendeltünk, így 16 féle ételt kóstolhatott meg. Áradozott, hogy micsoda kellemes csalódás számára ez az este és igazam volt, hogy fantasztikus ez az ízvilág. Még elvitelre is rendelt magának. 😁 Köszönöm az étterem szakácsának, hogy segített egy új embernek felismerni az indiai ételek csodás világát!

Hangulatos hely, brutál lépcső a bejáratnál. Intenzív ízek, minden finom volt.

Minden tökéletes volt.
