The story of Costes Downtown began in 2015, in the heart of downtown Budapest, on the ground floor of the Prestige Hotel, seven years after the debut of the Costes Group's first Michelin-starred restaurant. The goal of our young and dynamic team is to provide easy, friendly yet elegant service for those who wish for a less formal but complete fine dining experience.
Our restaurant has been included in the Michelin Guide annually since 2016. In addition to quality, sustainability is also very important to us, so our gourmet dishes are always made from the best domestic, handcrafted ingredients. Among other things, mangalica from local sustainable farming, games from the Nógrád WildLife Park or vegetables grown by the farmers' association in the Budapest area.
Our seasonally changing tasting menus offer a constantly renewed, all-encompassing culinary experience. Whether it's lunch or dinner, we warmly welcome our guests five days a week, from Tuesday to Saturday.

Tökéletes gasztronómiai élmény.

The whole experience was somewhat disappointing, given the reputation of the Costes. The food was good, not mindblowing, yet the real down yesterday was the service. It was going way too fast : the amuse bouche on the table within 5 minutes, the starter also arrived before the drinks.. We had the 5 course menu and the whole thing was really expedited, a bit more than one hour total... What a shame to feel rushed like this. There was also some mistakes with the service (getting wrong cutlery, tables around us getting the wrong dish...) and the service was overall a bit erratic. We enjoy the etterem het to discover new restaurants that we would go back to without the promotion, that will not be the case of the costes downtown given our experience and the price point of the restaurant. Too bad.

Amikor az Étterem Hét tevékenységei során értesültem a Costes Downtown Michelin étteremről, habozás nélkül ezt választottam, nemcsak az ételek mókáját tapasztaltam meg, hanem otthon éreztem magam. Megérdemelt, akárcsak az étterem mottója: "Egyszerű a végső összetettség"!

A Costes hangulata továbbra is kifogástalan, a kiszolgálás kedves, az ételek ízletesek, bár az elmúlt évek különlegessége mintha halványult volna. A desszert kiemelkedően finom volt, viszont a főfogás húsa már kihűlten érkezett. Összességében viszont kellemes élmény.

Csodálatos ízvilággal varázsoltak el, amely gyönyörű tálalással párosult. Kiszolgálás elképesztő volt, ilyenben még sehol nem volt részem. Köszönöm ezt a csodás élményt.
